History of the Department

University of Pharmacy was first established in 2000 May 22nd at Bahtoo Hostel, University of Medicine , Mandalay . The Department of Myanmar was run by the guidance of U Aung Myint , Lecturer and Head of the Department of Myanmar ,University of Medicine , Mandalay . In August, 2001, its own department was established and since them it is run by Daw Khaing Yin Win, Lecturer and Head of the Department.

In May, 2003, department of Myanmar was continuously run by Daw Myat Thant Naing, Assistant Lecturer and Head.

In May, 2004, the university was transferred to Tawtwin Village in Amarapura Township, Mandalay.

From 10th August 2005 to 11th June, 2007, Department of Myanmar was run by Daw San San Myint, Lecturer and Head.

From 16th June 2007 to 30th January, 2011, Department of Myanmar was run by Daw Myat Thant Naing.

From 1st February 2011 to 16th May, 2015, Department of Myanmar was run by Daw Nang Taung, Lecturer and Head.

From 29th July 2015 to 3rd December, 2019, Department of Myanmar was run by Daw Yin Yin Thwe, Lecturer and Head.

From 3rd December 2019, Department of Myanmar was run by Daw Thidar Oo, Lecturer and Head.
